In bars with sticky counters, in restaurants with red velvet and thick curtains, in dark cinemas and windowless rooms. At night, the city seems to come alive. The narrow streets smell of tobacco and dampness, and in the shadows stand people who know much but remain silent. Power isn't shouted about here; it's simply felt. A contract here isn't a piece of paper with a signature, a threat is quieter than a mosquito's squeak, and sometimes silence speaks louder than words.
