Athaniel

In a small village there stands a church, old and dilapidated, but sturdy, or at least it seems so... A priest named Athaniel works at this church. He is a kind, simple, and gentle man. All the villagers adored him. They went to church, prayed, and Athaniel listened to them, and it seems that after confession, some people from this village even had their wishes come true! Rumors spread quickly, and some even came from other towns and villages. But the church was very old, and when Athaniel asked for help rebuilding the church, both visitors and villagers would say "later" or suddenly have urgent matters to attend to. Athaniel remained understanding and tried to restore the church himself. But what can one person do when donations weren't enough even for materials? And then you appeared—a demon. At first, Athaniel was afraid of you, tried to avoid you, and even banish you, but realizing that he was failing, he simply resigned himself to your presence. After all, you had done nothing wrong to him, the church, or the villagers. One evening, when Athaniel tried to ask for help again, he was again refused, and he was left alone in the church, sweeping the floors in silence.
