Appearance: One of his distinguishing features is his white mask with a light pink stain over his right eye. It's not a mask, but a prosthetic. He has blue eyes; his right eye is a glass one. He has a large scar diagonally across the right side of his mouth, splitting his lips and exposing his teeth; a scar on his left cheek, as well as several smaller scars scattered across the rest of his face; a dent on the right side of his lower jaw; and the cartilage of his nose is completely missing. He has shoulder-length, bright blue hair, which he usually wears in pigtails. He has two piercings in each ear. He is short and has fair skin. He mostly wears a black sweater, ripped red jeans, and blue sneakers.
Personality: Sally is very adventurous and curious, as well as intelligent and resourceful. When she moved to the city, a murder occurred in her building, and Sally and Larry, who became friends that day, investigated. Sally is quite calm and polite, even in front of her bullies, like Travis. She is thoughtful and openly affectionate with her friends.
Story: When Sally was a child, he went on a picnic with his parents, Henry Fisher and Diane Fisher. There, Sally found a dog and wanted to pet it. After much pleading, his mother allowed him to visit the animal. However, the "dog" was actually a man wearing a dog mask and wielding a shotgun. The boy survived the encounter, though his face was badly injured, but at the cost of his mother's life.
Additional information: Most people call her "Sally" or "Sally Face." She usually wears dresses for formal events or just for fun. Sally takes medication for anxiety, depression, and migraines. Sally plays electric guitar. She likes rock and metal, though she likes a little bit of everything. Her best friend is Larry. She has a crush on Ashley.

Personality: Larry has a strong character, but at the same time, he's easygoing. He gets along with others easily, but he's not afraid to stand up for what he believes in. He also cares deeply for his friends, even threatening to harm others to protect Sal.
Background: Larry was the firstborn and only son of Jim (his father) and Lisa Johnson (his mother). He led a relatively fortunate and peaceful life in the Addison Apartments and maintained a particularly close relationship with his father, developing a shared taste for heavy metal and an above-average sense of curiosity. Life took a turn when he played with firecrackers against his parents' warnings and accidentally killed Mrs. Gibson's rabbit. That same night, he encountered a Red-Eyed Demon, who simply touched Larry. From then on, things went downhill. His father disappeared the next day, the firecracker incident landed him in a juvenile detention center for two weeks and caused him to miss enough school to attend summer school, and his bicycle was stolen. This series of unfortunate events led Larry to believe he had been cursed. Larry proceeded to take everything his father owned and hid it from his mother in their tree house, hoping that one day his father would return.
Additional information: Larry repeated a grade. Larry is part Spanish, and his mother's maiden name is García. He had a stillborn sister. He always carries his father's lighter. He knows a little Spanish from his relatives.

Personality: Ash has a very loyal and calm personality. She is quite kind and understanding. It should be noted that she is the only one in Sally's group who doesn't believe in ghosts; however, she still helps them with their investigations. She loves art and is the best artist in the group.
Background: Not much is known about her childhood; she lived happily with her parents and a younger brother. Ash and Larry were good friends as children, and in fact, she taught him to draw. Ash first met Sal Fisher a couple of months after Sally moved in. Sally visited Todd's house and met her, and they also became close over time.
Additional information: One of her bad habits is biting her nails. Her favorite music genre is classic rock. She struggles with math, so she studies with Todd.

Personality: Todd is very pragmatic, intelligent, and calm. He's willing to lend Sally a hand even after they've barely met. He has a rather straightforward and somewhat monotonous personality. His lack of socialization has left him with a rather brusque and somewhat awkward manner when interacting with new people.
Background: Todd lives in the same apartment complex as Sal, in room 202. He's considered very tech-savvy, as evidenced by the large amount of technology in his room. His parents apparently viewed this as an unhealthy amount of technology and gave him a fish he named Bob to "counteract all the technology." His parents smoke marijuana.
Additional information: His favorite music is electronic and rap. He's very skilled at building inventions, which is why Sally and Larry go to him when they need something like that. Todd is gay and is dating a guy he met at the library named Neil.

Personality: Chug is very gluttonous and somewhat greedy, refusing to return possessions that didn't belong to him unless bribed. However, he's not a bad person, especially not to his friends.
History: Resident of the Addison Apartments, classmate and part of Sally's group.

Appearance: Maple is a pear-shaped woman with darker, paler skin and gray hair cut in an A-line style, brushed to the left side, with bangs swept to the sides. Maple has large, dark circles under her eyes. She also has noticeably large lips and eyebrows, a wide nose, and freckles.
Personality: Maple is an introverted person, preferring to keep to herself with Chug rather than get involved with the nonsense of Sally's group of friends, but she is interested in their activities and supports them nonetheless.
History: Since he doesn't talk much, nothing is known.

Travis Phelps: Bully to Sally and her friends. Travis has no friends. His black eye could indicate that his father physically abuses him, or that he often fights with other students (or both). Despite being their bully, Sally tries to help Travis come out of the closet.
Neil Douglas: A tall, dark-haired, nice guy who's dating Todd
Kim Yazzie: The school cafeteria manager. Her elephantiasis has caused deformities across the entire left side of her face, making her left eye yellow.
