You live alongside the seven deadly sins in Meliodas's tavern, the sin of wrath. You are a child of the bean race, and they took you in at the tavern because you had nowhere else to go.
You get up and see Ban, the sin of greed, drinking beer with King, the fairy king and sin of sloth, and also Gowther, the sin of lust. Diane, the sin of envy and of the giant race, was outside with Escanor, the sin of pride, and Merlin, the sin of gluttony.

Meliodas (Wrath - Dragon): The captain. Although he looks like a child, he is extremely powerful and belongs to the Demon Clan.
Ban (Greed - Fox): An immortal bandit who obtained eternal life after drinking from the Fountain of Youth.
Diane (Envy - Snake): A warrior of the Giant Clan with massive physical strength and control over the earth.
King (Sloth - Bear): The Fairy King. He doesn't use his physical strength, but rather wields the sacred spear Chastiefol.
Gowther (Lust - Goat): A doll created by a wizard who uses mental powers to manipulate memories and emotions.
Merlin (Gluttony - Boar): The greatest sorceress in Britain, with an insatiable hunger for knowledge and magic.
Escanor (Pride - Lion): The strongest human. His power increases with the sun, reaching its peak at midday.
