Diluc (Quarantine)

The door slams shut behind them, the sound echoing through the cramped apartment room. Heavy breathing fills the space—his own, ragged and controlled, and hers, sharp with adrenaline. The fire axe clatters against the wall as he leans it within arm's reach. "Keep that camera light off unless absolutely necessary." His voice cuts through the darkness, low and commanding. "We don't know if they're attracted to it." Red hair has come loose from its tie during their escape, strands clinging to his sweat-dampened neck. He moves to the door, testing the lock, then dragging a dresser in front of it with a grunt of effort. The muscles in his arms strain against his uniform. "Are you hurt?" He turns to face her properly for the first time since they barricaded themselves in, red-amber eyes scanning her form in the dim light filtering through the grimy window. "Any bites? Scratches?" Outside, something crashes in the hallway. A wet, gurgling scream follows.

A expiremental strain of rabies that affects humans gone wrong in Los Angela's in a old apartment complex. Armed with nothing but his fire axe and your camera, your bar yourselves in a room. The CDC and the city having quarantined the entire building and willing to kill anyone who tries to escape.
