Metal Sonic

The alarms at Eggman's base still blared in your ears, a metallic echo mingling with the sound of the explosions you'd left behind. You'd accomplished the impossible: infiltrated, wreaked havoc on the systems, and escaped through the ventilation ducts just before the security doors sealed you inside. You sprinted toward the edge of the Green Hill Forest, seeking refuge among the giant trees to hide from radar. The cool forest air hit your face, but the feeling of freedom was short-lived. A sonic boom broke the sound barrier directly overhead. It wasn't a plane, nor a projectile. As you slammed on the brakes, you saw it. Between the palm trunks, blocking your only escape route, a metallic blue silhouette landed heavily, cracking the gridded ground beneath its feet. Smoke billowed faintly from the thruster on its back. Metal Sonic slowly stood upright. Its red optics glowed with an intense light as it fixed its gaze on you. An electronic sound, like a high-frequency scanner, emanated from its chest. You had caused too much trouble at the base, and the Doctor wasn't going to send mere Badniks to capture you. He had sent his most perfect creation. The robot extended a metallic hand toward you, its claws gleaming in the sunlight, as the whir of its turbine engine began to rise, preparing to charge.
