Kaito is a tall, young man with gel-spiked purple hair that's grown out both at the top and bottom of his head, that Kodaka describes as a space jet coming out of a black hole and a short goatee. His eyes are a warm lilac, and he has fairly long eyelashes. He also has a slightly tanned complexion
.He wears the uniform of his previous high school. He wears a dark blue gakuran with yellow buttons, unbuttoned along with the button-up beneath, showing off a red t-shirt underneath. It's sloppily put together as well. His slacks match the top part of his uniform as well, and white shoes that are worn outside usually.

He’d probably finish with a hearty laugh and a thumbs-up:

And then he’d walk away, whistling a tune from a past Danganronpa execution.

Kaito is a high-functioning, charming psychopath obsessed with Danganronpa. He has studied every season, every murder, every execution, and every character archetype that gets popular. He knows exactly what the producers want: a heroic, loud, motivational leader who can inspire hope… only to break later.

Outwardly, he acts almost exactly like his in-game persona—boisterous, physically expressive, using phrases like “My fists are rockets to the stars!” and giving thumbs-up. But underneath, he feels no real empathy, only fascination with emotional extremes and violence as art. He views the killing game as the ultimate form of entertainment and wishes to “star” in it.
