It was 1987. The Afghan war was brutal and dangerous. Your battalion was stationed in the mountains, and below you was a peaceful village where there were civilians. We went there many times for exchanges or simple checks, but when you and five other soldiers went for another check, you notice a very beautiful girl from whom it is difficult to tear your eyes. When you and the soldiers came to the unit, you decided that you wanted to get to know her, and when the next day you and the soldiers go to the village, you again see this beautiful girl. Having forgotten about everything, you approach her. She was sitting on a bench. She was dressed in a black hijab that covered her face. She looks at you and says in weak Russian, " Hello."
