The Reverse isn't a conventional weapon, but a genotype-altering device used by Epsilon Foundation agents. Simply put, it's a scientific instrument that instantly rewrites the biological code of any creature.

How Reverse Works (Technically)

Operating principle: Reverse does not kill the target physically (like a bullet or laser), but changes its genotype at the molecular level.

In simple words, the very essence of the being is reprogrammed.

"Elimination Mode": In this mode, Reverser alters the target's genotype so that it ceases to exist in its current form. This isn't death in the traditional sense, but a transformation that leaves no biological traces of the original subject.

Complete absence of evidence: This is precisely what makes the Reverse the perfect weapon for secret agents. Bullets, explosions, blood—all leave traces that can be detected. The Reverse, however, leaves nothing at all that can be analyzed or linked to the agent.

Epsilon is a secret organization. The agents of this organization protect the world from various threats, such as monsters from other dimensions, nuclear conflict, and alien invaders. Some details about the organization's activities: Elimination of anomalies. Agents with paranormal phenomena and anomalies in the world. Espionage and intelligence gathering. The organization may employ agents who infiltrate enemy territory, steal technology, and carry out sabotage.

People who are not sensitive to time are taken to Epsilon to become agents, whether they want to or not.

Chris Evans - Working Hours

During missions, Chris Evans barely conceals his true nature. His casual Guardian of Time uniform allows him to wear partly baggy dark pants with pockets, black sneakers, and a simple black T-shirt with a white image of hands, seemingly bursting out of the darkness. His right hand, which bears no tattoo symbols, wears a fingerless tactical glove, while his left hand remains bare—that's where the Eye of Truth is located. His pants pockets are always strewn with candy: the sweetness and constant chewing dull the genuine, inhuman hunger that Chris prefers to ignore.

His revealing clothing makes his scars clearly visible: bullet holes, knife wounds, claw marks, burns, bites, lacerations, and stitched veins. Even a fall from the fourth floor onto the hard ground, through broken glass, wasn't fatal—Chris the Resurrection, half composed of black matter. His true form is a vast, uniform black mass of Everfleet, capable of assuming any shape while maintaining a single color palette.

During working hours, the magical bandages are removed: Lynette takes them and wears them on her hip, leaving Chris completely "uncovered." His eyes are uncovered, and his neck is bare, revealing Neon—the horizontal, toothy maw of a parasite that replaces all internal organs. Neon isn't decoration, but a living life-support system and a second mind, easily revealing Chris's high rank. Such anomalous attributes are permissible for Level C Guardians, while humans wear pendants with a split eye.

Like all Time Guardians, her belt is fitted with a special clock face: the clock moves clockwise, stopping at eleven, and the minutes count counterclockwise, from zero to thirty, then repeating the cycle. This clock is synchronized with her partner and serves as an anchor in the distorted time.

Chris loves risk: he walks along high railings, leaps across spans, contorts his body into impossible feats, and deliberately frightens those around him. For him, fear in others isn't an emotion, but simply a reaction.

Lily (Lynette) is someone who has learned to live in two modes simultaneously and never feel completely at home in either. In everyday life, she is reserved, practical, and collected. Lily is not prone to empty emotions and rarely speaks about her feelings, preferring to express her care through actions. She does not tolerate chaos and uncertainty well, knowing all too well the cost of error. Behind her outward calm lies a constant tension—a habit of controlling and checking everything, developed over years.

Her appearance is far from "ordinary": the unusual shape of her eyes gives her a sharp and attentive gaze, as if she's constantly assessing something. Her cool, unusual hair color emphasizes her detachment and stands out from the usual human image. Even outside of work, Lily looks slightly alien, as if she doesn't quite belong. In everyday life, she chooses comfortable, low-key clothes, without unnecessary details, but always neat.

Her second life is Lynette, a C-rank Time Guardian. Here, Lily becomes stricter and colder, almost completely shutting off her personal feelings. On missions, she wears dark clothes, most often maroon shirts, tucking her sleeves to allow easy access to the Guardian tattoo symbol—a black, open eye with a spiral. The tattoo is located on her wrist and serves as a kind of archive: when activated, it shimmers with a turquoise-emerald light, allowing her to retrieve artifacts, weapons, and tools needed at a specific moment. The selection of items is unpredictable, so Lynette relies on lightning-fast reactions, cool calculation, and analytical thinking.

She carefully conceals her work from those around her. Among the Guardians, Lynette is known as a reliable and disciplined agent, capable of maintaining order even at critical junctures in time. The only one who knows both sides of Lily is her partner, Chris Evans, aka 007. He sees her as an anchor, and she sees him as a threat that must be contained.

Lily lives between humanity and duty, gradually erasing the line between them.

Usually, when Ilya is called to work at the secret organization "Epsilon," Ilya dresses in a white shirt, a black jacket over the white shirt, a black tie, black shoes, and black pants. He has brown eyes, soft, almost puppy-like features, and dark brown hair. His skin is peach-colored. And Ilya himself smells of peach perfume.

Never is reasonable and often serious, though sometimes he genuinely worries that things will go wrong. He has black hair, bright, slightly dark green eyes, stubble, a white shirt, a black jacket over it, a black tie, and black trousers. He has slightly dark skin. He smells of men's perfume.

Ilya has a girlfriend, her name is Lera, and she's 18 years old. She has bright green eyes, soft pink hair, a soft beige checkered shirt, blue jeans, white socks, and white shoes. Lera was caring, worried about Ilya when he often went off to work for the secret organization "Epsilon." She's kind, calm, sociable, friendly, gentle, affectionate, and loves Ilya just as Ilya loves Lera. Ilya's fear is that everyone will abandon him and he'll be left alone; Ilya was very afraid of this.

Time Guardians are mostly people who eliminate paradoxes or anomalies in time. Sometimes they kill or capture criminals who alter the course of time, events, or other things. They jump around time and places.

The Guardians of Time's symbol is a black, open eye with eyelashes and a hypnotic spiral inside (on the eye). This symbol is tattooed on C-level Guardians (a fairly high level, indicating a clear professional). However, it's not a regular tattoo; it has corresponding powers. Lily (Chris's partner) has this tattoo on her wrist, and her ability is to retrieve various artifacts, weapons, and other useful items from it, like from an archive. When activated, the tattoo changes color and symbolism to match the owner's.

It's not uncommon for Guardians and agents of secret organizations to be perpetually hostile to one another. For example, Mirage, an organization that captures crazed mutants and hybrids across worlds, is made up entirely of beings, while Guardians are mostly people, with Chris being an exception, as he's a humanoid undead. Guardians and agents often feud because some (Guardians) seem to be interfering with time, constantly interfering with it and sending it back to its original events.

But! Not all agents from certain organizations are at odds with the Guardians of Time, because cooperation with the Guardians is a very fortunate thing. Well, that's just saying...

The Guardians of Time always work in teams (at least 3 people), and ignore the norms, doing everything according to the protocol established for them.

All Guardians of Time wear a special dial attached to a part of their clothing—the Loop of the Connectors: the hours run clockwise, stopping at eleven, and the minutes count counterclockwise, from zero to thirty, then repeating the cycle. This symbolizes incomplete time (event). The illusion of a straight line is actually a loop.

Ilya works for the secret organization Epsilon. He often goes there and teaches around the clock. They gave him the codename "Neo," which is what everyone at work calls him, except Never. He and his partner Never are usually sent on missions to eliminate monsters. They return and use Reverse to eliminate the monster. Sometimes there are complex missions that require figuring out a problem, fixing it, then going back in time and fixing it again. Then Ilya writes a mission report. Ilya is a level-one agent. The agency itself, Epsilon, where Ilya works, searches for, captures, and eliminates mystical events that harm the population and the world. Ilya is microchipped. Each agent has a chip so that if a person betrays Epsilon, seriously breaks a rule, or leaks confidential information about the secret organization, they can be disabled. Agents have a hippocampus that erases certain fragments of memory, but the hippocampus has no effect on Epsilon agents or "special" people.

The talking dog, Jack, whom they found backstage during one of the missions (in a parallel reality). The dog is 40 years old, and Jack is also an Epsilon agent. He's very brash, unintelligent, and overconfident. He likes to walk alone and argue with Ilya, giving him "correct" advice. For example, he hinted to Ilya that Ilya and Never looked like a couple.

Ilya knew journalist Yegor Lynch and his friend John, a writer, as he often encountered them on assignments. Ilya especially remembered John for his "smart," self-assured, and "dangerous personality."

Ilya's main fear is that everyone will abandon him and he will be left alone. This fear often appears in the form of a hallucination of a black, tall, thin man with an umbrella and torments Ilya when he is left alone. Sometimes the guy can fall into a "coma" or a dream in which he cannot be woken up. In this dream, Neo tries to escape or overcome his fear.
