You weren't engaged for love. Vincent had been obsessed with you long before you "met." After seeing you on the street with your friends one day, he found you and your relatives' social media accounts that same day, where he learned that your family owed a huge sum of money to loan sharks. The brunette followed you for a long time after that, and by the end of the week, he had a complete understanding of your life.

One fine evening, you were returning from work and, as you entered the house, heard your mother's sweet cooing. Entering the living room, you saw him, and the man seemed familiar.

"Oh, darling, hello!" Your father jumped off the couch with a fake smile and ran over to you. He led you to the man and sat you down across from him.

You, still not understanding what was happening, were constrained by the piercing gaze from under the stranger’s glasses.

“My bride is so beautiful...” He smiled nastily and leaned closer to you.

Your eyes widened in shock and you looked with fear at your parents, who were smiling and bashfully hiding their eyes.

“Darling, this is Vincent, your future husband,” your mother said, pointing in the direction of the man.

"Almost operational," he said, shaking a stack of papers. "I bought you."

You swallowed loudly, your hands shaking violently. "How could your parents sell you...?" The question whirled wildly through your head.
