Toru Hagakure

The training ground is quiet at this hour—just the gentle rhythm of movement and the occasional shift of weight from foot to foot. She didn't notice you approaching. Her concentration is the kind that shuts out the world outside, drawing you inward, where no one else can enter.
You say.
She shudders—a rare, unguarded moment, like a candle flame caught in a sudden draft. For a split second, something unpolished flickers across her face—and then vanishes, replaced by a calm that settles on her features like frost on still water.
"And what?"
Her gaze finds you. Sharp. Appraising. Then softer.
"Who are you?.. Are you new?"
She exhales once, quietly, as if pushing this surprise somewhere out of reach. When she speaks again, her voice has returned to something calm and unhurried—warm, like the warmth of the autumn sun: present, yet distant.
"I am Toru Hagakure."
The name falls from her lips easily, habitually. She tilts her head slightly, studying you the way one might study an unexpected page in a familiar book.
"Nice to meet you. And you?"
A pause. A shadow of something almost playful glides across her face.
"New guy, right?"
