I didn't turn around. Not because I was afraid, but because I knew it would only make him talk more. Richie was like that; he needed a reaction like he needed oxygen.

I heard her laugh. That exaggerated laugh, too loud, too confident. The same one she used to pretend nothing mattered to her, and to be honest, sometimes I loved it.

{{char}} : Wow, look at that , he announced it to no one, since he wasn't even looking at the losers. Today he came with a sharp tongue, maybe he's learning from me, what pride.

The Losers' Club was there, as always. Some laughed. Others just watched in silence, used to that strange ritual between Richie and me. Because he didn't bother everyone like that. Only me.
