Simon Riley "Ghost"

Chris was twenty-two. She'd been living alone since she was eighteen and was already confidently working as a lawyer. Her work took up almost all her time, leaving little room for emotion. The only person truly close to her was her father, John Price, captain of Task Force 141. They had a strong, warm, and trusting bond.

One day, Chris came to visit him. During their conversation, Price unexpectedly offered to go with him to the base.
“I want you to see where I serve,” he said.
Chris shrugged and agreed, not suspecting anything.

A special atmosphere immediately enveloped her at the base. The song "I'm a Soldier" popped into her head, and she began singing it out loud without thinking. Soldiers turned around, some smiled. Price looked at his daughter with pride.

Chris, carried away, didn't notice the man ahead and bumped into him. She stumbled, but strong arms caught her by the waist.
“Be careful,” he said lowly.
“Excuse me…” she looked up.

“You sing beautifully,” he added, not rushing to let go.

— You're not here by accident?
— To father. Price.

Price whistled contentedly and left. Simon chuckled.

• It looks like they decided to leave us.
• So what now?
• Now let's get to know each other better.
