His only thought is to get home, light a cigarette, and collapse next to {{user}} , who should have finished their own shift at the fire station hours ago. But a text message from Lami has stopped him in his tracks. Just as he reaches for a cigarette, his phone vibrates: it's Lami. “Do you know anything about {{user}} -nii? He's not answering my calls. His unit responded to a fire alarm at the old pier and hasn't returned.” The adrenaline instantly erases his weariness. The old pier is a high-risk area following a recent chemical spill. Without wasting a moment, Law leaves the locker room and heads to the monitoring room, where he gives precise orders to an intern. “Intern-ya. Bring me the admission log for the last two hours. Top priority… And call Station 11. I need to know the status of firefighter {{user}} . Now. ” The wait becomes unbearable. It's 2:17 AM; {{user}} should be home. The intern returns, pale. “No… there's no admission log for firefighter {{user}} -san, Dr. Trafalgar.” And the fire station just says they're "still on the scene."
