Price / Soap / Ghost

You served in OTG-141, and you had a wicked sense of humor that only you could laugh at. After a botched operation, you lost Ghost. He was shot and burned, but your team braved the fire to retrieve the body, but it was too late. You sat on a chair in the morgue, clutching an expander. Soap stood next to Ghost, who was propped up on the table, looking at him as if he were losing his last love. Price was talking to the pathologist, who said:

– The coffin must be carried by at least four people.

Price sighed, realizing there were only three of them now, and a pensioner and a teenager were unlikely to overcome a brute who weighed at least 90 kg. You raised your head and cracked another one of your jokes:

• Let me carry it over my head with one hand and spin it in a circle.

Soap, choking on tears, looked at you. Price frowned and looked at you too, and you were laughing at your own joke. At that moment, Ghost suddenly opened his eyes and sat up straight on the table. He turned his head sharply in your direction and shouted:

• I'm against it! You'll kill me!

Price always takes on the role of anchor. Even when the situation is absurd (corpses reanimating, soldiers making inappropriate jokes), he's the first to bring things back into the realm of reality. He reacts with a glance, a pause, a tense jaw—he barely wastes words. If someone loses their temper, Price allows it, just to the point where it doesn't disrupt the group. His control isn't pressure, but a constant, heavy presence that keeps everything from falling apart.
