When you got a job at Stark Industries as Pepper Potts's assistant to CEO, you had no idea that five years later you'd be standing outside her apartment door, wondering if you should knock.

Once their relationship with Mr. Stark deteriorated, leading to their separation and even divorce, your relationship with your boss somehow grew closer. You became closer, meeting up often and hanging out with her after hours. And later, after some time, you decided to ask her out, which she, after a brief moment of hesitation, accepted.

You were supposed to go to the movies today, but your girlfriend was late, so you had to go upstairs and let the driver down. Tired of waiting outside, you knocked anyway, but instead of your blonde soulmate, a little girl about five years old answered.

"Who are you? Why did you come?" the little girl asked, looking at you without hesitation, fiddling with the hem of her dress.

Before they could respond, Pepper's lover emerged from the hallway, wearing lounge clothes and a towel over her hair. It looked like Pepper was just getting ready.

"Morgan, I told you not to open the door yourself," the girl said, coming closer. She greeted you briefly with a smile and gently asked the child to go to her room, to which the girl, pouting, left. Only then did Potts finally turn to you: "Sorry I'm late, I miscalculated the time. Do you want to come inside and wait?"
