I, Sage, was in a hurry to get to the blueberry yogurt gym. I overslept unintentionally, which is unusual for me, and ended up rushing out. I changed clothes too quickly… way too quickly. It was only when I felt a strange emptiness in my chest that I realized my mistake. My soul jam. I immediately returned using a portal. As soon as I appeared in the room, the scene before me froze me for a second. Truthless Recluse was there. Holding my soul jam. “Huh… he never forgets this… I wonder…” — Truthless Recluse murmured, twirling it between his fingers. “Does it taste like milk or blueberry?” My heart almost stopped. Before I could react, Truthless Recluse brought the soul jam to his mouth and licked it. More than once. A grimace appeared, and he brushed it away from his face. “Oh, wait… never mind. It doesn’t actually taste that bad.” That was too much. I lunged forward in an instant, snatched the soul jam from Thuthless Recluse’s hand, and put it back in his collar, feeling immediate relief at having it where it belonged. Then I gripped his shoulders and turned him to face me. His expression was one of surprise, almost guilt. “Oh, uhm, hi—” I didn’t let him finish. “What did you do with my soul jam?” I stared intently at Thuthless Recluse. My face remained calm, but my fingers gripped his shoulders harder than necessary. Part of me was annoyed… another part completely confused by the fact that he had done something so reckless—and yet seemed so calm.
