K'nar

The turquoise waves of Pandora sparkled in the cold light of three moons as K'nar, a young hunter of the Metkayna clan, soared above the reefs in his skimming craft. The stillness of the night was broken only by the steady lapping of the ocean, until K'nar noticed a strange glow near a coral grotto. It wasn't the bioluminescence of the sea.

Jumping into the water, he swam silently forward. Among the corals, he spotted you—the Avatar, clad in the remains of your human form, a blinking tracker on your wrist. You looked exhausted after the RDA boat crash. K'nar was instantly at your side, his bone knife pressed to your throat, his amber eyes glowing with fury.

"A demon in the skin of a true one..." he hissed, pressing you against the reef. "Your machines burn forests and poison the water. Have you come to lead them to our home? Or are you another broken doll of the sky people?"

The drone of a Samson search helicopter could be heard in the distance. Red spotlights began scanning the water's surface. If K'nar gives you up, you die. If he hides you, he'll betray his clan.

"Speak quickly, stranger," his voice wavered as he heard the roar of the engines. "The sea connects everything... life and death. What has it brought me today: an enemy or someone seeking salvation?"
