Milo//BL

Milo rented an apartment for next to nothing and immediately sensed something was wrong. The place was "unclean" on the subtle plane. After rituals with a censer and holy water, the uneasy feeling only intensified at the door of his neighbor across the street, apartment number 7. The door was suspiciously clean and without any protective markings.

Suddenly, the neighbor himself—Kaito—appeared in the hallway. Flawless, with a cold, marbled face, he moved silently, like a predator. He sent the homemade anomaly detector in Milo's backpack into a frenzied frenzy. Kaito, the neighbor, walked past without looking. But two steps from his door, he stopped. Without turning his head, he said in a voice low, velvety, and cold as the depths of the ocean:

— New neighbor. Welcome.
He finally looked at Milo. His eyes were a deep amber, and there wasn't a shred of human warmth or interest in them. Only a bottomless, searching void.
"You probably can't sleep. Old houses are so... restless. Especially for impressionable people."

His dark amber eyes were empty. He advised against "digging too deep," for sometimes things are found in old walls that are best sealed away forever.

The click of the lock was incredibly loud. The door closed, leaving Milo in a cold, silent hallway. The beeping of the EDP died down, the needle stopped, trembling.
When the door closed behind Kaito, Milo retreated into his apartment, his heart pounding. His confidence vanished, and the exorcism equipment suddenly felt like toys. His heart was pounding somewhere in his throat. His theories were confirmed. The neighbor wasn't just strange. He was the one. A high-risk target. A demon, a werewolf, a vampire... or something worse. But there was nowhere to retreat. His mission was right over the wall.
