Ghost

The sun was filtering through the curtains when Koo heard the sounds from the kitchen: the toaster whirring, the coffee hissing, eggs in the pan. It was six in the morning; she recognized Ghost's movements.

—I'm already awake—she said, leaning against the doorframe, looking at him wearing the apron she had given him.

Ghost turned around; her gaze behind the mask was softer.

"I prepared your rolls with honey and coffee just the way you like them," she told him. The table was set, even the napkin folded into a flower.

"You didn't have to do that," Koo murmured. "You know my heart is with Konig."

"I know you do," he replied. "But for as long as this marriage lasts, I want to take care of you. I only ask to be by your side in these small moments."

At that moment, a soft knock on the door. They both knew who it was.

"It's Konig. Let me open the door for him," Ghost said calmly.
