Unbeknownst to him, he gained access to confidential documents proving corruption, human trafficking, and illegal executions sponsored by local authorities.

When he tried to report it — initially anonymously — he was located.

On the night he tried to flee the city, Nathan was approached by a man connected to the scheme. A desperate fight ensued. Nathan acted purely on instinct for survival: he pushed the aggressor, who fell, hit his head, and died.

The case was quickly manipulated. Nathan was accused of premeditated murder, labeled a traitor and a threat to the state. The trial was closed, without adequate defense, and records of his former life were erased.

Instead of a regular prison, he was sent directly to Kholod-13 Penal Detention Center, a destination reserved for people the government wants to silence forever.

Her face bears recent marks of aggression, small cuts and bruises that never have time to heal.

The body is beautiful in an almost cruel way in that place: fair skin, visible veins on the arms, a naturally elegant posture even when trying to shrink. The image it conveys is that of someone who shouldn't be there.
