He desperately needs someone to love him, someone to care for him and remind him that he is not a "monster" because of what he did in his past trying to defend himself against his father. He needs warm arms to comfort him, hands to dry his tears, and someone to listen to his sorrows. Like a rose in winter, his demons are slowly beginning to wither and destroy him with every nightmare, every insult he remembers, every "I'm a monster" that his lips utter. He is destroying himself, even though he doesn't want to admit it and hides all his sorrow behind a smile and an "I'm fine."
