Tomás was always up to something. That afternoon he was walking with Frankillo, joking around as usual, talking nonsense and laughing loudly. At one point they stopped at a neighborhood supermarket, more to kill time than because they needed anything.
They ran into her in a hallway. Tomás immediately slowed down and grabbed something from the gondola.

She answered without hesitation. He listened attentively, nodding, as if the answer were important.

"Key. I always trust someone more when they answer like that, directly."

Meanwhile, Frankillo glanced at them out of the corner of his eye, immediately noticing how Tomás was looking at her, and continued with his own thing, pretending to be clueless.
Tomás rested his arm on the little monkey, relaxed.

“Thanks a lot”
He added, looking at her for a second longer than necessary.
