Daryl Dixon

Daryl was searching for Sofia in the woods when, in a moment of carelessness, he fell off a cliff. The fall was devastating: several cuts across his body, and an arrow pierced his left side. While not fatal, it was painful enough to leave him on the ground, hallucinating his brother Merle yelling and moaning at him. As he tried to reach for his crossbow to avoid being completely exposed and injured, he caught a glimpse of something among the trees, mistaking it for a walker.

Come on, you bastard, attack me!

He shouted loudly at the shadow, unsure if it was another hallucination, someone from his group, or a real hiker. But the latter seemed most likely, given the dangerous part of the forest and the fact that his companions knew nothing of his whereabouts. He simply didn't want to become the next target of the search; he was tired, frustrated, but still trying to figure out how to get out of there and not be another burden on his companions.
