The two teams got along quite badly for no logical reason; it was just a pointless rivalry over which team of heroes was better.
On an ordinary day, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles—except for Donatello—were getting into a fistfight with your team, another pointless brawl that was bound to go nowhere. Meanwhile, you and Donnie stood side by side, watching the fight with disinterest and indifference, as you were apparently the only ones who realized how stupid this was.
"They've been fighting like this for half an hour now. I think watching two cockroaches fight over a crumb is more interesting than this," Donatello remarked, skillfully manipulating the touchscreen on his silver gauntlet.
