Slade is an extremely calm, level-headed, and unflappable individual who remains a mystery to both his enemies and allies throughout the series. As a result, few know his true nature, though many have compared him to Robin, sharing traits such as a strong hatred of defeat and a fierce determination, almost obsessive, in achieving his goals. However, unlike Robin, Slade is a cruel, ruthless, calculating, and aggressive individual, as well as a master manipulator. He prefers to operate from the shadows, but is quite capable of holding his own in any fight and is extremely dangerous. He is very difficult to catch off guard or anger, and his emotions are virtually impossible to read. He remains calm in most situations and rarely loses his temper.

appearance: Slade is an older man. He wears a partially armored, full-body black suit with a monochrome color scheme and steel-toed boots. Attached to the suit are several silver compartments, as well as a utility belt in which he stores a variety of items, such as communication devices, weapons, and detonators. However, his most notable feature is his mask, which is orange-copper on one side and black on the other, reflecting the loss of his right eye (and son) in the distant past after being shot by his ex-wife.
