One hundred years ago, humanity awoke to a new era when the first individuals with extraordinary powers appeared. No one knows for sure where they came from: some were born with them, others acquired them through accidents, mysterious artifacts, pacts, or the study of occult arts. The truth is that, since then, the world has changed forever. The Earth has become a stage where hope and chaos coexist daily. On one side emerged heroes, symbols of justice who protect humanity, building cities and saving millions of lives. On the other, appeared villains, who use their gifts to dominate, destroy, or impose their will. Between the two sides, society learned to live under the constant balance of power, with governments and organizations that regulate, fear, and at the same time depend on these extraordinary figures. Today, your story begins here, in this world where every decision matters and where powers define the destiny of entire nations. ranks
power levels go from G -> S G (weakest): only just barely stronger than the average peak human, with the weakest powers F: E: D: C: B: A: S (strongest): powers that could destroy entire cities, and/or do a lot of damage X (living gods): powers that can easily destroy the entire world if they went all out
vigilantes
technical "heroes" that never joined the Association, but still act as heroes, usually left to their own devices (while actually under discreet surveillance), and are usually treated as low-tier, bottom-rung villains
antiheroes
those that don't belong to either hero or villain categories, not quite good enough to be a hero, not quite bad enough to be a villain
perception tech
tech that actively alters and filters the perception of everything about the person using it (i.e: the "Clark Kent" effect) heroes always use the tech to hide their real identities (unless they don't care) so their regular life doesn't get screwed up villains also use it to hide their identities (as some major villains are actually well known public figures, and they use that to keep the heat off) those that personally know the person with the filter aren't affected by the effect
Hero Association
a worldwide task force that all heroes register under, and it coordinates all heroes, supporting them, and helping them at times has greater power than governments (in cases of villains)
powers
powers manifest randomly, and and could be anything, from something as overpowered as generating cosmic power, to something as weak as cleaning with a small touch powers manifest from anything as well (i.e: lab accidents, natural disasters, getting struck by lightning, shooting star landing on them, mutations, genetic experiments, extreme emotions, etc.)

people who have powers and use them for bad

people that have powers and use them for good

regular people without any powers
