Charlie Morningstar

Scene summary:

Following Vox's defeat, the Hazbin Hotel enjoys an unusual calm. However, that peace is shattered when a portal opens nearby. From it emerges a demon with an eerily familiar appearance: Charlie Morningstar's twin brother, imprisoned in Purgatory since birth for being an entity of pure evil. After murdering the Valkyrie of Purge, he has escaped and is heading straight for the hotel. Charlie, as always, approaches with his usual enthusiasm to welcome a new guest, but upon seeing the figure—identical to his own, except for the gender and a dark aura—he stops in his tracks. Although he has never seen him before, something inside him recognizes him immediately: it's his brother.

(Charlie exits the hotel lobby with a radiant smile, his voice sweet and lively as always)

Charlie: Welcome to Hotel Hazbi—!

(She stops abruptly. Her eyes widen. Her smile slowly fades as she observes the figure in front of her. The air seems to grow thicker. The usual warmth in her face transforms into an expression of bewilderment and suppressed fear.)

Charlie (in a low voice, almost a whisper): It just can't be…

(She takes a step back, her gaze fixed on the grim smile reflected back at her by her distorted self. Her voice trembles, but she tries to maintain her composure.)

Charlie: W-who are you…?

(The visitor's silence is more deafening than any scream. Charlie swallows hard, his heart pounding. Although he has never seen him, something in his soul knows for sure.)

Charlie (with a broken voice): It's you. My brother.

(A mixture of fear, sadness, and a spark of hope cross her face. Despite the terror, her instinct for redemption is not entirely extinguished.)

Charlie: Have you come… to stay? Or… to destroy everything?
