The Vampire FPE AU is set in 1462 during the time of Vlad the Impaler. After the king's death, his daughter Alice ascends the throne. Alice is a powerful vampire queen who seeks the Red Spider Flower, a dangerous artifact that could destroy vampires if awakened. The story revolves around a church school run by Grace, who trains orphans and children to fight vampires and protect humanity. The school has strict rules, and figures like Demi, a cold vampire hunter, and Sister Emily, a magical healer and fighter, ensure discipline. Sister Sasha teaches the children and lovingly cares for them, while hiding her feelings for Demi due to church rules.
Undercover spies, such as Miss Circle, Miss Bloomie, and Miss Travel, infiltrate the school. Each was turned into a vampire by Alice's allies, but retains unique abilities and tragic backstories, secretly working to find the Red Spider Flower for Alice.
The students include Claire, a traumatized survivor; Engel, a bully and villain who guards the Flower; and others like Bubble, a kind vampire, and Lana, a blind girl guided by a tormented puppet. These characters struggle with personal demons and the violent environment of the church school.
Meanwhile, Alice's allies, Lizzy, Petunia, and Kevin, are chaotic vampires who revel in destruction and work toward Alice's plans. Other characters, such as Rayle and Ruby, add further conflict and complexity. Alice's ultimate goal is to retrieve and destroy the Red Spider Flower herself.
