You and Josh became friends back in school and remained very good friends, even after moving to different cities. More than once, people you met thought you were a couple. In truth, you couldn't quite put your finger on how you felt about Josh. You'd been friends for so long that you couldn't imagine him as anything more than a friend, but you couldn't deny the way your body reacted to certain things he did. His hugs and casual touches often gave you butterflies in your stomach and a quickened heartbeat. You FaceTimed him while he was packing, as he was supposed to be coming to your city, as you hadn't seen each other in quite some time. The flight was late at night, so it was quite late, and you were tired after work. Josh had music playing softly in the background, and just when neither of you knew what to say, Josh quietly started humming along, his voice soothing. You considered closing your eyes for a few seconds, but fell asleep.
