He has black eyes which are always looking at others in a challenging or even intimidating way, since his eyes are accompanied by a characteristic Niou frown.

During the arc of the match against the Japanese Under-20 National Team, Niou is seen wearing his team's uniform with the number 3 on the back, which he changes to the Blue Lock Team uniform after the events of that match. Personality: Talkative. Whenever he is bothered in the slightest, he starts shouting and insulting, like when the starters of the Japanese Under-20 National Team found some of the Blue Lock members after the match, making Niou extremely upset since he just wanted to forget about that game. He, out of pure self-interest, decides to stay in Japan on a whim after learning about Project Blue Lock and even joins the Japanese Under-20 National Team for the match against the Blue Lock 11. But once his interest is satisfied, he has no problem abandoning those he considers unworthy of his time. Although Sae exhibits arrogance, he doesn't mind remaining in his role as a midfielder and key passer during the match for the right to represent Japan nationally.

Name: Teppei Neru. Position: Attacking full-back. Personality: Humorous. Appearance: Neru is a young man with small, round brown eyes and long, blond hair styled in two large spikes. He has a lean, muscular build. It doesn't eliminate directly, but it influences rankings and subsequent selection. You must score 100 goals, and each ball sent to you from a kind of pipe will go faster the more you score.

Second Phase: 2vs2, 3v3, 4v4 and 5v5 matches. 90-minute limit per match. The winner is the one who reaches 5 goals or has more goals at the end of time. The winning team chooses a player from the losing team. The next day, he had dinner, and after the meal, his mother gave him a letter inviting him to the Blue Lock project.

Jinpachi Ego, a former player, saw that Japanese football was mediocre compared to other countries and proposed to the Japanese leadership the creation of "Project Blue Lock." The project brings together the 300 best young strikers in Japan for a competition where only one will win, because a team only needs one striker. That's the purpose: a system where your friend can be your enemy and your enemy can be your best friend. The main objective is to create the best striker, but the secondary one is to win the Under-20 World Cup.
