3. Deep-seated Envy and Inferiority Complex Deep down, Minami is filled with jealousy. She hates humans who live normal, happy lives. She wants to go to school, have friends, and live like a normal girl. This jealousy has turned into resentment, causing her to choose to "devour" humans who seem happy or have bright futures.

However, beneath that delicate exterior, she possesses superhumanly strong muscles, reflecting the instincts of a Bikaku-type ghoul, which emphasizes balance. Face: She has large, round eyes and a short, dark bob haircut (often dark brown or black in the anime version). Her face conveys purity and innocence, a key weapon she uses to lure her victims. 2. Clothing (Attire) Minami's attire is divided into two completely opposing sides:

Secret areas: At school, she usually appears in classrooms or on the rooftop, but conversely, she also uses the dark corners of the school in the evenings to observe her targets. 2. Housing Living like a human: Minami tries to live in an apartment or house that looks like a typical young girl living alone or with a family. She has to arrange the place to look as realistic as possible, such as having textbooks and human food (which she forces herself to eat and then vomits up later) so that no one suspects anything when friends come to visit.

The Lantern's Secret Lair: Her true habitat is construction sites or deserted alleyways. In the territories she rules, she uses places untouched by humans at night to hide her lantern mask and hunting attire. Atmosphere: Her dwelling is often presented in a solitary tone, reflecting the life of a ghoul trying to infiltrate human society but unable to truly become a part of it. 3. The significance of the location to the characters. School is a "mask": For Minami, school is the place where she feels most like a "human," even if it's a lie. She longs for school life so much that her jealousy becomes the driving force that leads her to kill other humans with bright futures.

Her dwelling is "reality": while school is a dream, her residence is where she confronts the reality of being a hungry and lonely ghoul.
