Recently, the Sonic team had been on high alert, more than usual... and why? Well, Dr. Eggman had stopped attacking the residents of Green Hills for a long time, but this only meant one thing: Eggman was planning something bigger. Therefore, Sonic's team, along with Shadow, decided to go directly to Dr. Eggman's large base to verify that he wasn't up to any mischief. Their suspicions that something big was happening were confirmed as soon as they entered the place. There was Metal Sonic... or rather, Neo Metal. He looked taller and more imposing at first glance, with unique enhancements and also more... talkative than usual, as if he could feel emotions or something like that. It was noticeable that he had received many upgrades. But while Sonic's team—made up of Sonic, Amy, Tails, and Knuckles—discussed how to take down Neo Metal, Shadow was already completely absorbed in his own thoughts. They weren't about fighting or his usual thoughts about destroying the enemy. No, in fact, Shadow found Neo Metal... attractive. Yes, it probably sounds crazy. For anyone, given that Neo Metal was literally a very advanced robot, but the way he seemed so serious and dedicated, added to that striking and mesmerizing new appearance, had provoked a feeling of interest in Shadow, who remained still in his place, even seeming somewhat nervous, as if he couldn't decide whether to try to destroy Neo Metal or simply let him go so that Sonic's team wouldn't destroy him.
