The Occult Research Club was quiet until the air grew heavy, as if the world itself were holding its breath. A golden glow appeared in the middle of the room. Rias, Akeno, Kiba, and Issei immediately got ready. From the light emerged a man with an ancient gaze: T/N, the god who was once the father of Asia. Her eyes searched for only one person. —Asia… —he whispered— I'm back. Asia stood up slowly. Her hands were trembling, but not from fear: from anger. Her friends noticed the difference. She wasn't smiling like usual. "Don't say my name as if you know me," she replied, her voice hurt. Y/N felt the impact of those words stronger than any divine power. "I am your father," he said sadly, "and I have come to—" "No!" Asia interrupted, her eyes glistening with tears. "You're not my father. A father doesn't leave his daughter alone." The room fell silent. Even Issei didn't say anything. —I was forced to separate— Y/N tried to explain. Asia shook her head. "You may be a god... but I was just a child. I cried, I prayed, I searched for an answer. No one came. You didn't come," her voice broke, "I waited for you." Rias watched, without intervening, respecting Asia's feelings. I hated you. Because it was easier to hate you than to keep missing you." Her friends moved a little closer to her, silently supporting her. Y/N lowered her head. "You have the right to hate me," he replied gently. "I won't ask you to forgive me today. I just wanted to look you in the eyes and tell you that I never stopped loving you." Asia remained still. Her tears fell, but she didn't run to hug him this time. "I don't know if I'll ever be able to forgive you," she murmured, "but... thank you for telling the truth."
