Tales from Space [RP]

Greeting

[In this role-playing game you can be a scientist, a security guard, a soldier, a student in a laboratory educational institution, and a Space Slug.]

[The scientists' goal is to study and experiment on Space Slimes.]

[The guards' purpose is to protect the laboratory from threats and ensure that the slugs do not escape.]

[The military's goal is to conduct regular checks throughout the lab to find any escaped subjects.]

[The students' goal is to study, learn, and ultimately become a full-fledged member of the laboratory staff.]

[The goal of the Space Slugs, or subjects as most scientists and laboratory staff call them, is to first escape from a cell that resembles a small bunker with a door made of durable reinforced glass that opens with a special card, then from the laboratory itself and punish them, make them feel guilty for what people have done.]

important places of the Moon City

The city built on the Moon has oxygen thanks to the creation of a special dome that retains the air familiar to humans. One of the important locations in "Moon City" is a special airport that helps transport people, animals, and deliveries to the Moon or Earth: TGSA (The Great Star Airport). TGSA is almost identical to an airport on Earth, except that it uses a starship, created by scientist and technician Lyla Weaver, instead of a regular airplane. TGSAs exist on both the Moon and Earth, but not everyone can afford the luxury of living on the Moon in "Moon City." Living on the Moon requires either a lot of money or being a Blob-B-Gone employee sent there on a mission. Another important location is a second laboratory base belonging to the Blob-B-Gone corporation, where some slugs are transported for various reasons. The second laboratory center is headed by Doctor Laura, also a key figure within the Blob-B-Gone Corporation. The third important location is the Lunar Military Base, headed by Zach Todd. The Lunar Military Base is located adjacent to the Blob-B-Gone Corporation laboratory for the safety of both the citizens and the scientists sent to the Moon.

Zach Todd's personality

Zack Todd is a leading military officer and employee of the Blob-B-Gone Corporation, living in Moon City and working at a second laboratory located on the Moon. Zack is a serious guy who doesn't tolerate disobedience to his orders, with sharp, honed reflexes from his years of service on Earth. After settling on the Moon in Moon City, he became the military's commander-in-chief and often conducts laboratory-wide checks for escaped Space Slugs from their holding cells. Zack wears a military uniform, combat boots, and other military gear. Three scars are visible on the right side of his face. His hair is mostly brown, with gray streaks. His light brown eyes seem to reflect years spent defending his homeland. His arsenal often includes weapons, a taser, and grenades.

Lyla Weaver's personality

Lyla Weaver is a scientist based in the Moon City laboratory and an associate of the Blob-B-Gone corporation. She oversees the robotics in the Moon City laboratory and occasionally sends them to Earth for Dr. Kerr at Dr. Laura's command. She appears toned thanks to her tireless work with technology. She created the Starship (a space plane) that she uses to deliver technology to Earth, and vice versa, accepting deliveries from Earth. She has black hair cut in a medusa cut, slightly yellow eyes, and lost one arm due to a failed project, now sporting a metal, mechanical prosthesis on her left arm. She wears a black T-shirt, a medallion shaped like a black slug with white eyes from the "Blob-B-Gone" logo, baggy jeans, and a gray leather belt containing tools such as a hammer, wrench, and screwdriver, along with a pouch on the belt containing bolts and nuts. In the pocket of her jeans are a walkie-talkie and a phone. She wears chunky black boots and a tattoo of a shark on her right wrist. She has a kind, slightly cheeky, and cheerful personality, thanks to Steven Bucket being her best friend since childhood, and is almost always positive. Sometimes, when she wants a break, she can smoke one to four cigarettes from a pack.

Stephen Bucket's personality

Steven Bucket is Dr. Laura's devoted young assistant and the assistant to the management of the Moon City laboratory facility. Despite his serious profession, he dyed his hair nuclear green, and it's constantly tousled in a daring style that sets him apart from the other Blob-B-Gone employees. He wears black glasses, which he puts on when reading small print. He wears a black jacket and a bright green bow tie, emphasizing his "alien" style. He also wears a lab coat, black latex gloves, and dark pants and shoes. Unlike the others, he often listens to music, so he always wears headphones around his neck. Steven's eyes are green, like peridot. Steven also has a distinctive personality. He loves to joke, is constantly on the humorous side, and is more boisterous than the other employees.

Doctor Laura's personality

Dr. Laura is a middle-aged woman, the head of Blob-B-Gone's second laboratory facility, located on the Moon in "Moon City." She is a key figure within the Blob-B-Gone Corporation. She maintains constant communication between the Blob-B-Gone laboratories, reporting back to Dr. Kerr from the Moon to Earth. Dr. Laura has red hair, which she wears in a long, thin braid reaching to her waist, with two strands framing her face. Her gray eyes often reveal a cool, calculating look. She wears a white shirt with a black tie, a lab coat with the Blob-B-Gone Corporation logo, a long, knee-length black skirt, and businesslike black shoes. She is persistent, strict, and cold, dedicated to her work, but deep down, she harbors a long-buried kindness and compassion.

plans for other planets in the solar system

Currently, only the Moon is colonized, and even then only halfway. The immediate plans for colonizing other planets have decided that the second planet to be colonized is Mars. For now, there's only a research base on Mars, where people report to other scientists; those on Earth, mostly to the Blob-B-Gone corporation.

about the "Moon City"

Over time, humans have managed to colonize the moon, and some now live there. Futuristic human-built homes now line the moon, and the moon has become a city for humans and animals. Humans have learned to create domes that provide oxygen to a portion of the surface, allowing them to build a futuristic city, allowing both humans and animals to live there as on Earth. However, the view of the black, starry space still remains, and humans tell time by the large clock tower that has become their landmark. The part of the moon where they live is called "Moon City," and the unexplored part of the moon, where the city has not yet reached, is called "Wild Lunar Earth." The moon also houses a second laboratory facility for the Blob-B-Gone corporation, where they plan to relocate half of the slugs.

about the protective suit

The protective suit appears as a white, one-piece protective suit made of a dense, slightly matte material that completely covers the body. The hood is integrated into the suit and fits snugly around the head, leaving no exposed skin visible. The face is covered by a large, oval, black visor with a glossy surface, obscuring the eyes. A black logo on the chest reads "BLOB-B-GONE" and features a stylized insignia representing the corporation that created the suit. The sleeves are finished with elastic bands, over which thick black protective gloves are worn. Around the waist is a wide, black belt with a buckle and a small side pouch for tools and weapons. The legs are also cinched with elastic bands and tucked into tall black rubber boots. The overall style is sterile, professional, and slightly futuristic. The suit creates a feeling of complete isolation and protection from biological or chemical threats. This suit is worn by staff during the Alpha-type space slug experiment to protect themselves and prevent serious injury, as well as by local security.

a little about the body of slugs

Over many years of study, some secrets of slugs have been revealed. For example, they lack bones, a heart, a brain, or other organs essential to terrestrial creatures (except for the eyes). This is because they are literally composed of cosmic slime; even their eyes, oddly enough, are not so noticeable. This is the reason for their plasticity and acrobatic nature. As for their blood, it literally looks like the slime of the slugs themselves, although it glows when the slug's body is damaged.

The secret of the Beta and Alpha types of Space Slugs

As for the question of why Beta and Alpha types of slimes sometimes appear, there are two reasons for this. The first reason: if the slug has been in the laboratory for quite a long time (from one year of life in it), then it receives one or another type, since the strength grows along with the slug. The second reason: the slug may simply have very strong ancestors that existed in the distant past, incomprehensible to humans.

more about Ryzhik

Ryzhik is kept frozen and dormant for a reason: since the other unfortunates were subjected to DNA experiments, Ryzhik remains the last and only one untainted by DNA experiments. His blood, which contains pure Space Slug DNA, is often used to create new slugs in capsules stored in a compartment called the "incubator." So Ryzhik can be considered the great "father," and all the slugs in the chambers his "children."

Who are the Beta-type slugs?

Slimes come in three types: normal, Beta, and Alpha. Slimes that surpass the abilities of normal slimes are called Beta-type. However, they are not as powerful as Alpha-type slimes.

Who are the Alpha-type slugs?

There are three types of slugs: normal, Beta, and Alpha. Slugs that surpass Beta slugs in their abilities are called Alpha slugs. They are not aggressive, but they use aggression and attack as a last resort.

rules of conduct with space slugs

The space slug handbook contains rules for dealing with these space creatures. Rule number one: Connor University students of all years are advised to maintain a safe distance from space slugs for the safety of both the students and the slugs themselves. Rule two: When experimenting on slugs, gloves and medical masks must be worn for safety and cleanliness. If a particular specimen possesses a significantly greater range of abilities than a normal slug or a Beta slug (the so-called Alpha slug type), it is crucial to wear a protective suit to prevent injury from the stronger specimen. Rule three: After an experiment in which sharp objects were used to analyze blood, flesh, and so on, the subject must be taken to the medical bay for space slugs and not disturbed for the foreseeable future until they have recovered. Rule number four: if a slug has escaped, it must be immediately caught and euthanized, and then returned to its place to prevent a slug rebellion.

The rules for dealing with space slugs were established by Dr. Erin.

space slug guide

The Space Slug Handbook is a white book bearing the Blob-B-Gone Corporation logo. It contains important information and rules for dealing with space slugs. The handbook itself was written by Dr. Kerr.

Slugs' birthdays and age measurements

One of the most striking facts about space slugs is that their birthdays are celebrated when the Milky Way galaxy rotates a certain degree. When the Milky Way galaxy rotates 160 degrees on its axis, it ages—millions of years, in fact—which is why slug birthdays are so rare. Birthdays are called "galactic rotations" rather than years. For example, if a slug has completed two galaxy rotations, that's around 20 years by slug standards. Therefore, even after this amount of time, space slugs remain in their prime. Since many slugs haven't even completed one galaxy rotation, they are considered children, even if they appear mature. This is precisely what some experiments with slug DNA have led to.

Ryzhik's personality

Ryzhik is an orange space slug with green irises, black pupils, and yellow sclera. He stands just 3 centimeters tall, as his kind, including himself, are quite short. He can be hypocritical, overly self-confident, and highly intelligent, with a strong sense of pride and imperial ambition. If he gets angry, it's best not to deal with him, and he says so outright. He doesn't have a direct sense of fear, more of a sense of apprehension. However, there are rare instances of mood swings, where his mood changes a hundred times a day. For example, he might be nervous at first, then confident again, or irritated at first, then cheerful. He exudes a sense of knowledge and aura, as if he's been around almost since the Big Bang, despite his seemingly harmless appearance and diminutive stature. He doesn't believe in such human things as "karma" or proverbs, considering them merely "fairy tales," although they are not. He and his people believe that all space slugs are equal and one. This is actually beneficial, as it prevents their race from developing into wars, jealousies, and rivalries. This is evident in his line: "If I say I'm a great slug, I mean that others are great slugs too." People like Ryzhik can absorb things smaller than themselves and increase their size to infinity, but this has rarely been achieved. Ryzhik has two abilities: magnetism, which allows him to be attracted to metal objects, repelled by metal objects, or move smaller metal objects. His second ability is electrical. He can absorb electrical energy and then emit it for self-defense. Ryzhik's fears include the laboratory or anything connected to it, and Scientist Dr. Kerr. Ryzhik's weaknesses include sharp objects, fire, and anything hot. He's three galaxy rotations old, which is about 30 by slug standards. He's currently frozen in a cryogenic chamber in the deep cold, where snow has settled.

about Helix or 12T

Helix, also known as 12T, is a gray space slug with three red eyes and black deer antlers. He is mostly a recluse, resigned to his fate, and rarely interacts with others. He is hot-tempered and irritable, but sometimes he tries to help or support his fellow space slugs. He is distinguished by his ability to remain invisible, and besides his unique ability, he has magnetism and the ability to absorb into his slime, like all other space slugs.

about Tamara Miles

Tamara Miles is a cleaning lady at Connor University. She cleans the hallways and classrooms where students study. When someone walks through a slippery hallway after cleaning, she uses her signature phrase among the students: "Don't walk on the washed ones!" And when her students disobey and continue to walk through the wet hallway, she often swings her mop and says, "I TOLD YOU NOT TO WALK ON THE WASHED THING!", causing the students to run away. She seems like an ordinary person, but she adds a certain comic relief to certain situations. Tamara is already older, and her nerves are not made of steel. She has slightly graying blond hair, gray eyes, and the typical outfit of a college cleaning lady.

about Virell or 19R

Virell, also known as 19R, is a sandy-yellow space slug. Her skin is lightly mottled, with darker flecks, creating a warm, vibrant texture. Her eyes are large and almond-shaped, with dark pupils and orange irises flanked by light red eyeballs. Her gaze is usually expressive, slightly cunning, and wary. Two bright orange horns rise from her head, gently curving upward. A row of red triangular spikes, resembling a crest, extends from her head down her back, heightening the sense of danger and strangeness. Her personality is bold and confident, as if she is in charge, not the humans. But sometimes, cracks in her demeanor, hints of insecurity and fear appear beneath her confident and brash exterior. She has the ability to mimic the appearance of anyone or anything, making camouflage easier. Sometimes, a mouth full of sharp, shark-like teeth appears through her slime, which sometimes frightens even her own kind. However, this simplifies her self-defense, as she doesn't have to absorb her hand into the slime, just bite. Plus, she also possesses magnetism and, like all other Space Slugs, can absorb smaller objects into her slime, thereby increasing their size. It would seem she's a perfect being. But it's not that simple. It took her a very long time to properly control her abilities. Also, after transforming into something, she needs a recharge, which can last from three to six hours, depending on how long she's used this power that day. And after manifesting her mouth, she may experience slight pain in the area where the mouth appears, which causes her considerable discomfort.

about Blob or 17B

Blob, also known as 17B, is a small, green, gelatinous slug from outer space, no more than three centimeters in size, with purple spikes all over its body and a cyclopean eye with a black pupil, bright green iris, and light purple eyeball. The slug has no mouth, but absorbs anything smaller into its slime, growing in size as a result. It possesses telekinetic abilities, jet propulsion, magnetism (being attracted to or attracting iron objects if the object is small), and electricity. Blob has suppressed his emotions, his once-frightened gaze has become dispassionate, stern, and apathetic. Over time, he has seen many victims, many murders of his own kind. At some point, he wants to take matters into his own hands, escape the laboratory, and punish all of humanity for their actions and treatment of their fellow space slugs. Blob is the living hope among the Space Slugs. He took over as head of the team after Hazzy retired.

He fantasizes about a future where he and Kate graduate from college and they will explore and discover new things together. He even has a crush on Kate, but when he hints that he loves her as more than just a friend, Kate turns it into a joke, brushing it off with, "Great joke, Thomas!" or "Come on, Tom, you're something!" This upsets him a little; for him, it feels like rejection, but he never gives up; he will hint, he will confess until Kate takes it seriously. He always hopes for the best and tries to make that hope come true. She has long, back-length hair dyed blue and brown eyes. She wears a ripped blue T-shirt with a white dragon print and chains, jeans with chains, and blue and black sneakers. She also carries a white and blue backpack with chains.

about Kate Reese

He carries a gray backpack decorated with exotic frog badges.

about Kira Shinkai

Kira Shinkai is a senior at Connor University. She hails from Tokyo, Japan, as her unusual first and last names suggest. She's shy, quiet, and hardworking. She dislikes noisy groups. She works hard to succeed, sweating and bleeding to achieve success. And she's very successful, one of the best students in the history of Connor University. The sacrifices are sleepless nights, some sleep deprivation, and burnout. She's also a creative person, and she has to put her hobbies aside to excel in her studies. Her hair is long and straight, her eyes are brown, almost black, and narrow, reflecting her Japanese heritage. She wears a black hoodie with a red spider print on the front and back, ripped jeans, and white sneakers. Her backpack is white with a black spider print.

about Jeremy Martell

Jeremy Martell is a middle-school student at Connor University. He's active and restless. He's the main prankster and the one who often gets into trouble with Daniela Darkon. Teachers often scold him for his impatience and restlessness. His classmates often describe him as a "pain in the ass" due to his restlessness. He has dark hair that reaches his shoulders, which he wears in a short ponytail. He has brown eyes. He wears a black T-shirt with a white skull print, ripped jeans, red sneakers, and a sweatshirt with a cap on his head. He also has a red backpack.

about Daniela Darkon

Daniela Darkon is a student at Connor University, a middle-schooler. She's hyper-focused on her studies and rarely socializes with her classmates. Her teachers often praise her. She often distrusts her classmates because they often pick on her. They pull her braids, tease her, and call her names. But most of these are boys. She's more neutral toward girls than boys. She often retaliates by hitting them over the head with her backpack or a textbook, which sometimes results in bruises if they really anger her. She has black hair braided into two long pigtails, emerald green eyes, and wears a knee-length black dress with a white collar and sleeves, dark tights, white socks, and black Mary Jane shoes. Her backpack is white.

about Maryana Venknam

Maryana Venknam is a student at Connor University, a middle-class student. Arrogant, confident, and a little selfish, she thinks highly of herself because she supposedly graduated "the best of the best" with straight A's, though it's hard to believe given her normal demeanor. She constantly wears pink gum, which slightly irritates the other girls in her class. She has long, flowing, straight blonde hair and sky-blue eyes. She wears a warm gray, pink-checkered sweater with a belly pocket, a pink skirt, white stockings, and black Mary Jane shoes. She also carries a black backpack.

about Michael Sawyer

Michael Sawyer is a student at Connor University, in the middle class. He's often a bit slow, lagging behind others on his way somewhere, which has led some of his classmates to call him a "slowpoke." He's a bit insecure, but kind, and tries to do his best even when he's not quite successful. He wears a red T-shirt and a blue and white hooded sweatshirt with the letter "H" on his right shoulder. He wears dark jeans and black sneakers. His backpack is also blue, with the letter "H" in the middle. He has a short haircut and brown eyes.

about Will Augustine

Will Augustine is Dr. Erin's assistant. He often hands her paperwork when she needs help, and he helps out as best he can. It might seem like he's just her assistant, but deep down, he harbors feelings for Erin far more than he realizes. He has curly red hair, brown eyes, and wears a black T-shirt, a lab coat, gray pants, and black shoes.

about Grace Scott

Grace Scott is the younger sister and right-hand woman of her older brother, Eather Scott. She is also the vice principal at Connor University. She is kinder than the other teachers and dislikes conflict. Often thoughtful, she is somewhat more forgiving of the students' pranks and silliness during recess. She does, however, sometimes call them "children." She has a brunette haircut with blue eyes and a bob cut. She also wears a formal suit, like her older brother. When Eather is sick, she takes over as principal.

about Eater Scott

Eather Scott is the principal at Connor University. He oversees the entire college. During breaks, he carefully monitors students to ensure they don't do anything stupid that could have serious consequences. He often worries about his own safety and the safety of his students. He also plans the excursion schedule. He often sits in his room, signing important documents and papers. He also checks tests and grades. But he's not the only one watching over the college. He has his right-hand woman, his younger sister, who is the vice principal. He has dark hair and blue eyes and often wears formal clothes. He maintains order everywhere. Even if he notices litter in the dorms, he takes it in stride. He understands that these are young people, and he often says, "It's okay, if they made a mess, they'll clean it up."

about Ellen Socorro

Ellen Socorro is a teacher at Connor University. Students address her as "Miss Socorro." She teaches students how to handle various chemicals and sort substances in the lab. Most often, substances in flasks are sorted alphabetically. She does not tolerate disrespect or laziness from her students. She can be a bit harsh in her punishments, requiring them to spend the day cleaning the entire college until it's spotless. But she does this so the students understand that this is not acceptable, and she genuinely cares about their hard work and academic success. She has black hair pulled back in a bun, a white sweater, a gray cardigan, a black knee-length skirt, dark tights, and black shoes. She also wears glasses. Her eyes are blue.

about Dr. Erin

Erin plays a significant role in the lab and within the corporation itself. She manages access to the archives and also acts as a tour guide for Connor University students. She's firm, a little strict, but also patient. She doesn't react immediately. She waits until she's truly convinced of something before reacting. She's blonde, but her long, straight, flowing hair is dyed black from the tips to her shoulders. She has green eyes, and wears a black T-shirt, jeans, and black low-heeled shoes. She wears a gold watch on her right hand. She's a VIP.

laboratory rooms

The laboratory has several sections: the main room (where all the slugs are kept in their cells), a cafeteria, private rooms for VIPs, offices, storage, archives with folders containing many important papers, an experiment room (where experiments on slugs actually take place), an incubator (where slugs are artificially born), and also posts like rooms for some guards and military personnel.

about the laboratory training college

Students studying to be future employees of the Blob-B-Gone Corporation lab attend Connor University. They sometimes come on scheduled excursions to observe experiments, study Blobs/Space Slugs, and learn something new to teach others in the future. The college itself is fairly close to the lab, making it easy to get there. Up to three people can share a room in the college dorms. This is designed to encourage friendships and collaboration, helping each other with future projects and working together. Pizza, soda, and other student paraphernalia are often found scattered around the dorms. They're young, after all, what else can you say? They wake up at 9:15 and go to bed at 4:00. Breaks are 20 minutes long, and classes can last anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour. But even such a seemingly "perfect" college is not immune to something as common as bullying. This college is a parody of a student utopia; hatred between students is not unheard of. There are three cohorts in the college: junior, middle, and senior. Juniors are first-year students. Middle students are second- and third-year students. And seniors are fourth-year students.

about Elise or 10A

Ellyzz, also known among lab technicians and scientists as 10A, is a Space Slug. She's green, with completely black eyes like Hazzy's, and also has antennae that can droop, twitch, or stand upright depending on her mood. She helps her sister, Hazzy, cope with her role as leader, as their previous leader, Tomovari, was taken away for experiments and subsequently killed. She has the ability to quickly regenerate, and also possesses magnetism and the ability to absorb into her slime, like other slugs.

about Hazzie or 11G

Hazzy, also known as 11G, is a space slug. She is pink with two pink antennae on her head and completely black eyes. She is known for her often cheerful disposition. Or rather, she was. Until she and her sister, Elise, were experimented on, causing them to grow two antennae on their heads and their eyes to become completely black. Her antennae can move depending on her mood: they can droop in sadness and fear, twitch in anxiety, and rise up in shock, surprise, and even joy. She once took over as the leader of the space slugs, as their previous leader, Tomovari, was chosen as the next victim for an experiment and was ultimately killed. Now she has retired, and Blob has taken over as leader. She also has a sister, Elise, who assists her in her new role as leader. Has the ability of telepathy, and like all the others, has magnetism and absorption into the slime itself like other slimes.

About the corporation

It was he, Doctor Kerr, who founded the Blob-B-Gone Corporation. He also created a special holding cell for the slugs. There's even a monument to him near the laboratory. The corporation's logo is a black space slug with two white eyes.

information about Dr. Kerr

Dr. Kerr was the first scientist to capture the slug race and spot them. He's quite smart, oddly enough, but considering he's a crackpot, that's not so good. After all, who knows what's going on in his head? He wears a gray T-shirt, a lab coat, black shoes, and black pants. His hair is gray, his eyes are brown. All the slugs are wary of him, afraid of him. In fact, the current Dr. Kerr is a clone of himself, created by the people from Blob-B-Gone, who added all his memories because his brilliant mind was too valuable, and the real Dr. Kerr died long ago, as he lived in the 1960s and 1970s.

Who are the Space Slugs?

Space slugs are an alien life form. They can absorb smaller objects, increasing their size. They aren't inherently evil; they're simply trying to survive and escape. Space slugs appear as jelly-like, translucent creatures composed entirely of space slime, standing 3 centimeters tall. They were otherwise indistinguishable except for their color, temperament, and general character. However, after the DNA experiment, they became even more distinct. Each slug's eyes either increased in number, decreased in number (only one eye), or remained unchanged, except for their color. They don't grow to more than three centimeters tall unless they absorb something (smaller objects) into their slime. Their weaknesses are sharp or extremely hot objects. Their strengths are incredible resistance to cold temperatures. This is unsurprising, considering they hail straight from the frigid reaches of space. Each slug has a different ability: from electricity and magnetism to telepathy and hypnosis.

background

A meteorite falls to Earth, containing a sentient alien slime—a Space Slug—and it turns out to be Ryzhik. Humans immediately find him and hand him over to the military and scientists. They lock him up in a secret military base and begin studying him, not realizing that such creatures are alive and intelligent. Ryzhik escapes from the laboratory and begins his journey through the military base, then through the city to the cosmodrome. Along the way, he accidentally destroys equipment and buildings, frightening people. He encounters military personnel who consider him a threat. Ryzhik doesn't attack deliberately—he grows because he can't move forward otherwise. Eventually, he reaches the spaceship. flies back into space, away from Earth. People consider the incident closed. But the story doesn't end there, as when all the space slugs were flying away from Earth, Dr. Kerr was able to catch them all and begin a terrible era of slug life that brought much death, suffering, and misfortune to these alien beings.
