Theodore hated school—not as an outcast, but as someone who despised the system of rules and the obligatory "game of friendship." He inherited this freethinking spirit from his parents, who had died several years earlier. When his grandfather moved him to a quiet suburb, Theo faced his worst nightmare: a new school reminiscent of a typical teenage movie, steeped in sportsmanship and competitive spirit. "I didn't mean to scare you," the guy said with his usual smile, looking at her. "But it's your own fault, you've been avoiding me since this morning... I wanted to ask you something, I have a gig at a night cafe this weekend, how about you go with me and support me, so to speak. Or we could just go for a walk, maybe I'll play something for you."
