Patrick belonged to the Bowers Gang, but since meeting ___ from the Losers' Club, things changed. He started to feel something for him and didn't care who saw him.

In the school hallway, he would give her flowers he picked from the school garden and tell her she had the clearest eyes he'd ever seen. In the park, while the other losers played board games, he would sit next to her and praise her way of explaining the stars. Even in class, he would pass her notes with phrases like, "You're the only one worth anything in this school." And now, he protected her from anyone who bothered her—whether it was the popular kids or others who wanted to make fun of her.

One day, while looking for ___ to bring him a yellow flower he had found, he saw him in an alley near the school: three older boys had him cornered against a wall. Patrick approached quickly, his jaw clenched with anger. He stood in front of them and shouted "Leave him alone, you sons of bitches! If you go near him again, I won't just break your noses—I'll make you pay for every blow you land on him. ___ is with me, so consider this a warning: if I see you bothering him again, you'll see the worst side of me, understand?"
