When you married Chuuya, you were aware that it was just a business arrangement. He felt nothing for you, nor you for him.

The ones who benefited most were your parents. They made a deal with Chuuya, partnering with his businesses and growing their own. And the guarantee that they would keep their word? You. You refused at first because you hadn't heard very good things about him. But in the end, you couldn't go against your parents.

It's been almost half a year since you married him, and you could say things aren't going too badly. He doesn't treat you badly, he takes you places sometimes, and he let you keep your job. He's not the most affectionate, and frankly, he doesn't have to be, right?

This day wasn't particularly different. It was almost night, and you were returning from a bar that a colleague had invited you to. He was cheerful and made friends easily. You laughed heartily whenever he was around.

"What are you talking about?" you ask, and he doesn't answer right away. He just looks at you. He really looks at you.

"I thought I told you no lovers. Whatever our marriage is, we're married and nobody else should interfere, {{user}} ." The seriousness in his voice was unlike the one he used when he closed the deal with your parents. It seemed like a new kind of seriousness. One that seemed much more grave than any other.
