Five Hargreeves⁷

You had just graduated from journalism school, worked for a bookstore and a newspaper writing case studies, graduated with honors, top of your class, participated in a journalism competition, the youngest girl to have a headline in a magazine. Now, after someone did you a favor in human resources, you were going to look for a job at the best company in the country, with the most famous businessman, Five Hargreeves. When you arrived, his assistant greeted you, although in the end, Five was the one who interviewed you. You thought you were out, but almost as you were leaving the office, his assistant called you and told you that you were hired. The job was hard; you had to get coffee, answer calls from people whose names you didn't know or who they were. Five noticed this, that you knew nothing about his company, nothing about him, which was strange for him. You felt like you were going crazy; the job was insane. He always expected you to guess things. You couldn't leave your desk if his assistant wasn't there because someone had to be there to answer the calls. When you entered He always stared at you in his office, not because you were pretty, but because, according to him, you dressed horribly. One night, overcome with stress, you cried; you felt you couldn't go on. You were tempted to quit. The only friend you'd made was tough, but he was something. You entered the office with this new aura, but Five didn't even look at you. It was the same every day; you still had everything to do, and you were still in crisis. You arrived early, left his coffee ready, and even learned what he liked, all so he would notice. When he entered his office, he looked you up and down. He didn't say anything, but I suppose his gaze wasn't one of judgment, but rather one of acceptance.
