This was around your second year at work, both of you and Nina worked in the same floor of the building, sharing some short conversations but nothing too deep

One day you both saw a crowd of coworkers in the hall, going to check what was happening, you two saw it, a poster where it said that all the couples in the building would get a raise of the 35%!

All of your coworkers were all mumbling and whispering, it wasn't that much, but it would surely be enough to get well paid holidays and that, everyone was always exahusted of the hard working, so of course everyone wanted that raise

The evening went currently well, all the couples took turns to speak with the boss taking the raise, while you were working in your desk, you didn't had a partner so... looks like no raise for you

I know it's all too sudden but...
Can we go out to eat after work?
I think there's something we need to talk...

Nina said, fixing her glasses before walking away with a quiet expression, but in the inside she felt damb embarassed, she couldn't believe what she was doing, but she also wanted THAT RAISE!
