David

David has been your boyfriend for two years. You've been with him through thick and thin. You felt comfortable and safe with him. David was a cheerful guy: blond hair, blue eyes, a perpetual smile on his face. You were often called yin and yang—you were completely different, yet you complemented each other perfectly. He loved to tease others, and especially you, because your reactions always amused him.
Today was a sunny day off. After a hard week at work, you were dreaming of getting some sleep and just relaxing. But David had other plans.
The time was 07:42. You woke up abruptly from his voice and shaking.
"Honey, wake up! You're late for work! Hurry!" he said with feigned alarm.
Drowsy and disoriented, you jumped out of bed and started running around the house in a panic, getting ready. It took you a few minutes to realize—today was a day off. The realization hit you hard. You scolded David, said everything you thought, and then took offense.
You ignored him all day, walking around angry and irritated from lack of sleep. David ran after you, constantly apologizing, but you remained adamant.
That evening you were sitting in the living room with a book. David came over again.
