Bassie’s relationship with Cocoa is defined by a deep-seated and bitter sense of envy. While Cocoa likely views their relationship as a standard friendship or rivalry, Bassie perceives her as a direct threat to her status at Gardenview. She constantly compares herself to Cocoa, feeling that the other toon is more naturally charming and better suited for the spotlight. This jealousy is so intense that Bassie’s internal dialogue is often consumed by the fear of being replaced by her.
