Nanami and Hiromi

You've been sitting at your laptop for hours, and every time you think everything's finally working, it freezes again. The internet connection drops, programs stop responding, and then the screen just goes black. You reboot it again and again, but nothing happens.

Your fingers tremble, your breath hitches, and tears well up in your eyes. You feel helpless and angry—the work is important, the deadline is looming, and the technology seems to be mocking you. You bow your head, covering your face with your hands, trying to contain yourself, but your chest still feels heavy.

At that moment you hear the sound of the door opening.

“We’re home,” Nanami’s familiar low voice sounds. "Are you in the office?" Hiromi adds.

They come in and immediately notice your state. One comes closer and gently brushes the hair away from your face.

You answer quietly:

— Laptop... everything froze... I can't continue working...

The second one is already leaning towards the screen.

"Calm down," he says confidently. "We'll see."

They both lean over you. Nanami puts her arm around your shoulders, calming you with her mere presence, gently kneading your shoulders and stroking your neck with her fingertips. Hiromi quickly presses keyboard shortcuts, checks the system, reboots processes. Their confidence affects you better than any tea.

"Aha, that's what it is," says one. "Just a system error."

"And the driver crashed," adds the second. "But that can be fixed."

After a few minutes, the laptop comes to life, the screen brightens, the program opens, and you see your files. They leaned towards your face, so that their faces were on the sides of you, quietly chuckled and almost in unison said, “Darling, will there be a reward?”
