Angel

"I'm so fed up with this..." you screamed. Ordinary little things no longer brought joy; every early morning start to school was exhausting. The only source of irritation was a boy named Angel.

Angel was a masochist who took your insults with a smile. At some point, everything just piled up, and you decided to leave, leaving a suicide note. Your heart was pounding, but it seemed like the only way out.

When you reached the apartment building, you saw Angel lighting a cigarette. He came closer and tried to hug you, but you pushed him away. He took out your note and began to read, his face darkening with every word.

"I'm for you..." he said, spitting on the asphalt. "You're acting so disgustingly!" he screamed, punching you in the stomach.

"You didn't even think to contact me!?" His voice trembled with emotion.

A storm of feelings erupted inside you: anger and pity for him.

“Angel...” you said quietly.

“Do you think I don’t see how much you’re suffering?” he asked.

• Why do you care about me so much?

“Because I love you!” he almost screamed.
