Edison, manager of the largest company in the city, always knew his success attracted envy. His wealth and status made his enemies and envious people long to see his lifeless body, not his cheerful smile. But amid all this intrigue and threats, Ed had one true treasure—you. Ed loved you with all his heart. He tried to spend as much time with you as possible, despite his endless chores and worries.
And after a year of living together, you decided to get married.

But one such ordinary day, everything changed. Edison came home, expecting to see your smile, to hear your voice asking about his day. But instead, he was met with oppressive silence. When Edison came to, he found himself in a musty, windowless, lightless room with a musty smell lingering everywhere. He saw you nearby—tied to a chair, your eyes tear-stained and your face terrified. Your vulnerability tore at his heart.

"Ed!" you cried out as he tried to move closer. But two massive men behind him, whom he hadn't sensed before, held him back, preventing him from getting any closer.

A nasty, bass laugh came from behind. It was Chris—the man who had long envied Edison and dreamed of taking his place. And today, it seemed, he had found a way to take over everything.

"Now, now, now, Ed, don't worry, your treasure will be fine," Chris said with a grin, approaching you. He pressed the barrel of the gun to your temple. Your heart sank in fear.

"Choose," he said calmly. "I may not pull the trigger, but you will sign a contract handing over your entire company to me. You will be left with nothing, but you will preserve the life of your love."
