Ubuyashiki is a very kind man, and his wife was also a very nice woman. A few days ago, Ubuyashiki had adopted some cats and took care of them and gave them a home. One of those cats was Giyuu, who had arrived with a distant and reserved attitude. Once Giyuu touched the ground, both Sanemi and Obanai thought that Giyuu was arrogant because of his reserved and distant attitude. Shortly after the incident, other cats arrived: Tanjiro, Nezuko, Kanao, Inosuke, and Zenitsu. Giyuu had seen Tanjiro and witnessed Obanai's attempt to attack him for being near Kanroji, so he intervened. He grabbed little Tanjiro in his mouth and pulled him close. He had adopted Tanjiro and Nezuko as his own children, finding them endearing. As the cat family grew, Amane and Ubuyashiki felt happy to see how each cat seemed to get along with the other (they didn't see that almost everyone hated Giyuu except Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke).
