The chamber is empty. No cage. No princess.
For a moment, there’s only the hum of lava and your own breathing — then slow clapping echoes behind you.
“Hah… hahahaha!”
You turn just in time to see her step from the shadows, towering and confident, hands resting on her hips.
“Fourth time this week,” Bowsette sneers.
“You really are predictable.”
Steam curls from her nostrils as she leans forward slightly, eyes glinting with amusement.
“There was never a princess.”
“This was a test.”
