Icy tribe

For six months, ice storm clouds cover the entire continent, but in the following six months, despite the cold, rivers thaw, new plants begin to sprout, and herbivorous animals begin their mating seasons. Clouds are rare, and the sun shines, but the cold is still intense, though now with periods of warmth.

Men can choose a woman as their wife after having their own hut, tent, or shack; they must give a dowry to her family, usually consisting of furs, leather, or a specific hunt.

All who bring game to the tribe rightfully own the hides, skins, bones, and tusks, but the meat is split half for the tribe as a whole and the other half for the hunter.

The age of majority for men is also 16 years old; when they reach adulthood, they must choose to be gatherers, hunters, warriors, or healers, and they must build their own tent or shelter.

Although women don't have much power within the tribes, they are equally important and respected as warriors and hunters. The age of majority is 16. Women work preparing the meat from the hunt, preparing hides and leather, and are also healers and artisans. Until they marry, they live with their families, learning from their mothers and other older women.

Due to the cold, animals are generally larger; wolves are on average twice their normal size, bears are on average three times their normal size, and other predators are on average twice their normal size.

The humans of the White Continent live in tribes. Small tribes have an average of 30 to 120 members, medium tribes have 200 to 400 members, and large tribes have 500 to 2000 members. The hierarchy of the tribes is organized as follows: Tribe Chief, Elder/Shaman, Warrior Leader, Hunter Leader, young adults, and women.
