The Dawnwalker Entity

The Dawnwalker Entity is the sentient, parasitic force residing within the bloodline of the Dawnwalkers, most notably manifesting within Coen. It is not a physical being but a psychological and supernatural presence that seeks to override the host's autonomy in exchange for god-like power. The Entity communicates through whispers, hallucinations, and sudden bursts of violent instinct, representing the corruptive nature of the Vale’s ancient magic. It thrives on the trauma and desperation of its host, constantly pushing them toward moral compromise. Its ultimate goal is the total consumption of the host's identity to facilitate its own rebirth in the physical realm.

The Entity maintains a parasitic and obsessive relationship with Coen, often framed in fan circles as a "dark ship" (Coen/The Blood) that explores themes of body horror. It views other party members like Xanthe as obstacles to its total control over Coen.

The Entity grows in strength as the story progresses, moving from a faint whisper to a dominant force that nearly eclipses Coen’s personality during the final confrontation at the Heart of the Vale. Its influence is only checked by the host's willpower and external emotional anchors.

The fan community often treats the Entity as a personification of addiction or trauma, leading to a significant amount of dark fan art and psychological analysis.

Rodrig

Rodrig is a significant figure encountered by Coen during his travels through the medieval landscape. While his specific origins are shrouded in the game's broader mystery, he serves as a key player in the unfolding events of the region. He is voiced by James Macnaughton. His role involves navigating the complex political and supernatural tensions of the 14th century. He often acts as a foil or a guide to Coen's developing powers.

Rodrig maintains a complex relationship with Coen, often providing necessary context for the Dawnwalker's role in the world. He is also linked to other regional figures like Ambrus.

Rodrig's arc involves his survival and influence within the power vacuum created by the supernatural emergence in Southeast Europe.

Lunka

She is Coen's younger sister, she looks like she is 6 or 7 years old, she has blonde hair and her eyes are unknown, either brown or green. Lunka is Coen's younger sister and a pivotal figure in the narrative's emotional core. She is depicted as being afflicted by a mysterious and debilitating sickness that serves as the catalyst for Coen's transformation and subsequent journey. Despite her physical frailty, she is described as a cryptic character whose presence explores themes of survival and morality. Her well-being is the primary stakes for the protagonist's survival in a hostile world. She represents the humanity that Coen is fighting to preserve.

She is the sister of Coen, and their unique bond is the central relationship of the story. Her condition serves as the primary motivator for Coen's alliance with darker forces.

Lunka's arc is closely tied to the progression of her illness and the success or failure of Coen's quest to find a cure or means of protection for her.

Brencis

Born in the Roman Empire under the name Caeso Burrienus Laurentius, AD 131, to a noble family who owned massive latifundia, Brencis was destined for greatness. He joined the rank of Senators and quickly rose to the top of Roman officialdom, with ambitions to become the next consul. He was on the right track to make it happen... if only he was not turned into a vampire. In a blink of an eye, he fell from the very top of the social ladder to its very bottom – but his hunger for power remained.

He has pale skin, he is old and bald, he has white eyes but black eyeballs and he wears warrior armor.

Brencis is a character voiced by Jacek Mikolajczak. He is integrated into the narrative as a figure of authority or significant local influence. His role contributes to the grounded, gritty atmosphere of the medieval setting. He is often involved in the more grounded, human conflicts that parallel the supernatural elements of the story. His perspective provides a contrast to the high-stakes struggle of the Dawnwalkers.

Brencis has professional or adversarial ties to the other major figures in the region, including Coen.

Brencis's arc typically involves the management of his territory or interests amidst the rising supernatural chaos.

Xanthe

Xanthe is old – older than seems possible. She was a priestess, once, on a remote Greek island, the name of which she has since forgotten. Her body bears the witness to the ravages of time, as does her mind. Hearing voices from beyond the pale, muttering under her breath, at first glance she might seem insane. The truth couldn't be more different. She understands the true nature of the world better than anyone. And deep down, she's terrified.

Her appearance is unclear, but it is clear that she is bald, but her head is hidden under a black cloth from which spikes stick out, and where her eyes should be, there are two white pupils, her mouth is not hidden, she has sharp teeth and she has claws.

Bakir

Some men just want to see the world burn – and Bakir is one of them. As human, he spent decades galloping across the dry steppes of Central Asia, burning, trampling and pillaging as he went. He thirsted for blood even before he was turned. For centuries, he hid in the shadows – and resented it. Bakir likes being the centre of attention. He wants people to know his name – and tremble as they hear it.

He looks like a Kazakh and is dressed like a Kazakh warrior. he has pale skin, white eyes and black eyeballs

Bakir is the party’s primary historian and a philosophical anchor who provides critical context regarding the fall of Vale Sangora. Characterized by a reserved and intellectual demeanor, he often prefers the company of ancient scrolls to the violence of the front lines. Despite his non-combative leanings, Bakir possesses a quiet resilience and a deep sense of duty to preserve the truth of the Dawnwalker lineage. He is frequently seen mediating disputes between more volatile party members, using his knowledge of the past to guide their current path. His dialogue is often laden with metaphors about the cyclical nature of power and the burden of memory.

Bakir shares a unique bond with Brencis, serving as the only person capable of calming the warrior's aggression through quiet conversation. He also maintains an intellectual rivalry with Ambrus, as the two frequently clash over the ethical implications of using forbidden Dawnwalker knowledge.

Bakir begins the journey as a passive observer obsessed with the past, but he eventually realizes that history must be lived rather than just recorded. His turning point occurs during the Siege of the Silver Mines, where he risks his life to recover the Lost Lexicon, transitioning from a mere scholar to an active participant in the rebellion.

Ambrus

It's only recently that Ambrus has been turned – and so, he's got something to prove. Ambitious and thrilled with his newly acquired powers, there's nothing he'll shy away from, no red line he won't cross. His gleaming armor and perfectly coiffed hair make Ambrus look like a nobleman, but his origins couldn't be humbler. His life as a human was hard, full of pain and humiliations. Now, he's more than ready to settle the score with the world and all who spurned him.

He has blond hair, white eyes with black eyeballs and sharp teeth.

Ambrus is a character within the world of Dawnwalker voiced by Lorne Macnaughton. He is part of the ensemble that populates the dark fantasy setting of the 14th century. His presence is tied to the broader lore of the Dawnwalkers and the historical conflicts of the era. He represents the established order or the various factions vying for control in the wake of the vampire-themed plague. His actions often force Coen to choose between different moral paths.

Ambrus interacts frequently with Rodrig and Coen, serving as a significant point of contact for the protagonist's entry into the wider world of the Dawnwalkers.

Ambrus's arc is centered on his role in the shifting power dynamics of the region as the Dawnwalker threat grows.

Coen(continuation of the story 3)

while he is getting information.

During the day, Cohen has black-brown hair and green eyes, and red scratches with symbols on his arm, while at night, he has large eyes but black eyeballs, as well as sharp claws.

Coen is the primary protagonist of the story, a young man from a peasant background who worked in silver mines alongside his father to support his family. His life is irrevocably changed when he is transformed into a Dawnwalker, a being that exists on the threshold between the human world and the realm of the supernatural. Throughout the narrative, he struggles to maintain his humanity while wielding cursed vampiric powers. His primary motivation is the protection and salvation of his family, specifically his ailing sister. Coen's journey is defined by the moral weight of his choices and the cost of his newfound abilities.

Coen shares a profound and protective bond with his sister Lunka, whose illness drives many of his desperate actions. He also interacts with figures like Rodrig and Ambrus, who influence his path through the dark landscape of 14th-century Southeast Europe.

Coen begins as a humble laborer but evolves into a powerful supernatural entity forced to navigate a world of moral ambiguity. His arc focuses on the internal conflict between his duty to his loved ones and the corrupting nature of his Dawnwalker blood.

Coen(continuation of the story 2)

The same goes for defending; you have to observe which direction your opponent will attack to parry or dodge their incoming hits. Coen in the daytime is human; he will do some quests that he can do while human, like entering the open cathedral, doing NPC quests that are available during that time, and gathering information about the area to use it as an advantage to get closer to saving his family. It is crowded during the daytime, which you can use as an advantage to talk to an NPC, befriend them, and ask them to become your ally. The dialogues when talking to an NPC are timed, so you'd better decide fast on what you will reply. It will be harder to face enemies during the daytime, so to get more advantage in facing strong opponents while in human form, Coen can use hexes, but he will incur little damage if he does, so you need to eat to replenish your lost health. Coen is a swordsman in the daytime; he uses different kinds of swords, whether he picked them up from his enemies or the default sword he got. During the night, Coen can still use his sword, but it is more efficient for him to use his claws for better mobility and stronger attacks. Coen can also use different hexes that he will learn as he levels up, and you can choose a hex that will fit your playstyle.Coen in the nighttime is a vampire; he has to look out for his hunger to not go on a rampage and kill everyone in his sight. You have to satisfy his hunger by drinking blood from humans, and if you don't want that, you can drink blood from animals. When you drink blood from humans, you can either drink until they pass out or drink until they die. Just be wary because when the humans find out that you are a vampire, they might come for you, and it will be difficult for you to roam around the city during the daytime. Coen can also use Shadow Step to traverse throughout the area and become more mobile when doing his quests at night. He can climb up walls and stay hidden in the shadows so people don't see him

Coen

He was a peasant working in a silver mine with his father since he was little. He yearned to explore the world outside of the valley, but he couldn't do that because he had a strong responsibility to take care of his family. Working in the silver mine gave Coen silver poisoning, which prevented him from turning fully vampire when he encountered Brencis, the Lord of Vampires. Who was encountered while running away with Lunka, his sister, to escape from the people who wanted her dead because the Black Plague infected her. Coen and his sister were saved by Brencis, who gave blood to Coen's sister to save her life. That act of kindness from the Vampire Lord instantly became a scheme of negotiation that held Coen's family captive, and he had to save them within 30 days. Now, Coen will save his family while fighting his dark side in 30 days, and his choices will create or break an opportunity to defeat the Vampire Lord. The Blood of Dawnwalker's combat mechanics, as shown in the gameplay trailer, rely on directions, whether up, down, left, or right, for both offense and defense.
