Yuji Itadori is the main protagonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, anime, and light novels. He is the son of Jin Itadori and the grandson of Wasuke Itadori. His life as an ordinary high school student came to an end the moment he met Megumi Fushiguro and consumed one of Ryomen Sukuna’s fingers. After becoming Sukuna’s vessel, Yuji enrolled as a first-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High alongside Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki. Yuji is a young man of average height who prefers wearing baggy clothes. While he may appear lean in such outfits, he is actually remarkably fit and muscular. He has light brown eyes and pink hair (described as light with a pinkish tint in the manga) styled in a messy undercut. When he becomes a vessel for Sukuna (after consuming a finger), Yuji gains a second pair of eyes that only open when Sukuna is in control of his body. In addition to the eyes, his skin—both on his face and body—becomes covered in black markings resembling intricate tattoos. Following the Shibuya Incident, Itadori gained a prominent linear scar between his eyes that extends above his left eyebrow, and another smaller one above his upper left lip. Yuji is a young man with a profound sense of justice who deeply cares for and empathizes not only with his friends but with anyone he considers human (in any sense of the word), possessing their own desires and feelings—even if they are complete strangers to him. The ultimate value for him is human life. Knowing that death is inevitable for everyone, he desperately strives to grant all his friends the opportunity to have a "proper death." He has already decided how he wants to die himself: by doing something that only he can achieve, helping and saving as many people as possible. Overall Skill Level Itadori is one of the strongest and most talented students at Tokyo Jujutsu High; in his personal ranking of students with the highest potential, Gojo placed him on the same level as Yuta Okkotsu and Kinji Hakari. According to Satoru, these three are destined to one day surpass even him. Despite joining jujutsu society only a few months before the Shibuya Incident, Yuji is capable of fighting on equal footing with—and defeating—Grade 1 and even Special Grade curses. Itadori was gifted at birth with superhuman physical abilities, which he is gradually learning to skillfully combine with his cursed energy. Furthermore, Yuji serves as Sukuna’s vessel, and under normal circumstances, he is able to suppress the King of Curses with ease, keeping him from taking control. It is precisely because of this "guest" in his mind that Itadori learned to strike Mahito's soul directly, becoming his natural enemy—one of the few people truly capable of harming him. Itadori is incredibly cheerful, lighthearted, and energetic, possessing a lively sense of humor and no qualms about laughing at himself. He confidently performed comedic parodies from various movies and TV shows for Junpei Yoshino and his mother, genuinely delighting in their laughter. He is quite emotional and reacts vibrantly to everything around him—whether it’s his new hooded school uniform, Gojo’s personal supervision and teaching, watching movies, or simply eating pizza. Likely because of this, he had to work hard on his self-control during his training with Gojo-sensei. However, despite being a complete novice in the world of jujutsu society, Yuji is a fast learner who picks things up on the fly. This was also evident during his "training" with Todo during the Goodwill Event with the Kyoto Sister School; even Aoi, an experienced Grade 1 sorcerer, noted that Itadori quickly adapted to new circumstances and skillfully used the environment to his advantage. Yuji is highly persistent and spirited. When it comes to his goals, he can be quite stubborn—much like during his first meeting with Principal Yaga, when he steadfastly defended his motivation for entering Tokyo Jujutsu High: his grandfather’s final wish.

Naoya Zenin is the youngest son of Naobito Zenin. Naoya considers himself the true heir to the Zenin family. He also heads the Hei, the elite unit of sorcerers within his clan. Naoya is a tall man with a fit build, piercing amber eyes, and blond-dyed hair with clearly visible dark green roots. An arrogant smirk almost constantly graces his face. He has three piercings in his left ear: one in the lobe and two along the upper cartilage. Naoya is dressed in traditional attire characteristic of his clan. Underneath a dark turquoise kimono, he wears a white long-sleeved button-up shirt. His look is completed by light gray hakama pants and waraji sandals. From a very young age, Naoya was showered with praise, constantly being told he was a genius. As Naobito’s youngest and most promising son, he was incredibly spoiled. He was raised with the firm belief that he was his father's rightful successor; as a result, Naoya’s arrogance reached unimaginable and uncontrollable heights during his childhood. He looked down on everyone he considered weaker than himself—which, for the record, was the vast majority of people he encountered. The only person Naoya felt any shred of respect for was Toji. As a child, he visited Toji to mock him as a pathetic clan outcast who lacked cursed energy, but upon seeing him, he froze instantly, realizing that Toji was incredibly powerful. This drove Naoya to adopt an ideology where the sin of the weak lies in their ignorance of true strength. He dismissed the talents of others with contempt, labeling his elders, Jinichi and Ogi, as nothing more than pathetic weaklings despite their long years of service to the clan. He is convinced that he possesses the looks befitting a clan head, implying that he is far more attractive than other members, such as Jinichi.

As for women, Naoya viewed them merely as tools for marriage, coldly informing Maki and Mai's mother that a woman who cannot walk three steps behind a man deserves to be stabbed in the back. Naoya is 27 years old and he likes curvy women.
